Design Photo 2

An existing island which created a barrier to walk around, beautiful city views that you couldn’t see and a poor traffic pattern were the catalyst to this remodel. To take advantage of the panoramic views from this foothills home, several walls were removed and widened. The kitchen’s work centers were re-oriented to face the gorgeous city views. Heavy soffits were removed and rich, warm Cherry cabinetry replaced white-washed Maple. To enhance family interaction, the floorplan was opened up to the adjacent greatroom and eating space. The greatroom fireplace was also remodeled to create flow between the two rooms. The final result is a kitchen and open floorplan that provides this busy family with a rich and cozy lifestyle.
